What Yasmine does for San Quentin SkunkWorks:
As Vice President of Operations, Yasmine manages SkunkWorks operations and strategic planning. She runs our programs, oversees implementation, watches our budget, and supports our staff.
What motivates her:
Yasmine cares deeply about the structural inequity in our justice system and is driven to change it. She became personally invested in criminal justice reform when ten years ago, her friend was sentenced to life for crimes he didn’t commit.
When Yasmine isn’t working to fix structural inequalities:
She can be found nerding out with a good book, exploring Portland with her dog, cheering madly for the Blazers, or recruiting celebrities to our cause.
Credentials:
Yasmine brings Hollywood connections and proven program leadership to the SkunkWorks executive team; what’s not to love? She’s an honors graduate of California State University, Northridge, with a bachelor’s in Journalism focusing on Public Relations. Yasmine has worked as a voice-over actor and previously for the City of Portland, She also worked for Oregon Health and Science University, where she redesigned, rebranded, and relaunched the New Employee Orientation program, achieving program goals and improving productivity.
